B.L.A.C.K. Women Retreat
“Leading Through Grief”
Dr. Natasha Sistrunk Robinson & Mrs. Natasha Smith
What is the B.L.A.C.K. Women “Leading through Grief” Retreat?
And who is it for?
The B.L.A.C.K. Women’s “Leading through Grief” Retreat is a three day, two-night retreat specifically curated for Black women leaders who are on their grief journey no matter your career, industry, life stage, or leadership role.
The retreat is shaped for leaders who are grieving various losses, not just those who have experienced the death of a loved one.
The retreat is a curated space of Belonging, Loving, Accepting, Communing, & Knowing to support you, your purpose, and your work.
We would love to welcome Black women from across the country to pause and reflect on their grief journey, as they share and get support for their leadership journey in a safe and affirming community. We want to support and celebrate wherever you are on your life and leadership journey.

The retreat center is located approximately 32 minutes from Piedmont Triad (GSO) airport in Greensboro, NC and approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes from Raleigh-Durham (RDU) airport in Morrisville, NC.
Retreat participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from the retreat center. Note: The area does not have Uber or Lyft services regularly available.
-
The retreat will be co-hosted by authors and leadership expert, Dr. Natasha Sistrunk Robinson, and certified Grief Educator, Mrs. Natasha Sistrunk, with the intentional purpose of supporting you and the community on your grief and leadership journey with practical tools, techniques, and support. We will engage the community in guided practices and allow space for your personal reflection, clarity, rest, creativity, and fun.
The retreat will provide opportunities to ignite joy through play, beauty, and art.
The retreat grounds offer ample opportunities to simply be still in nature or be quiet with your own thoughts. The facility has walking trials, gardens, inside and outside prayer and meditation spaces, two libraries (including a curated African American library), and a bookstore. Occasionally, you might meet a family of deer.
There will be designated “break” or rest times throughout the retreat schedule. Other than showing up for mealtimes (to honor the times set and preparations made by the retreat staff), nothing is mandatory. Give your mind, body, and soul what it needs.
